Flashcards

Trauma In Pregnancy: fundal height landmarks
Per the page figure: at 12 weeks the fundus is just above the pubic bone; at 36-38 weeks the fundus is usually right up under the sternum; at 40 weeks (term) the fundus drops below the 38 week level as the presenting part drops down into the pelvis.
On-Scene AED Coordination: medical authority
The EMT-First Responder (EMT-FR) has medical authority over public access defibrillator (PAD) personnel at the scene until arrival of the transporting EMT-Paramedic. The transporting EMT-Paramedic has medical authority at scenes.
Valid Exclusion of Resuscitation: valid DNR Request Form
The DNR Request Form must be signed and dated by the patient or appropriate surrogate and the witness and the patient's physician. The revocation provision must remain unsigned for the form to remain in effect.

Missouri protocols — FAQ

Are Missouri's EMS protocols available offline?
Yes. Download the protocol set for your area once and every protocol, medication, and hospital is available with no signal — built for basements, rural calls, and dead zones.
Are the protocols specific to my county in Missouri?
Pocket Protocols covers selected areas in Missouri today, not the whole state. Protocol sets are scoped by county, so a provider in a covered county gets exactly the set that governs where they respond, and you can add more than one if you work across areas. Other counties are added as their EMS authorities come on board.
Is Pocket Protocols official, or affiliated with Missouri?
No — Pocket Protocols is an independent app and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any EMS authority. We bring Missouri's protocols into a faster, fully offline app and link the authority's own source for every set.
How do Missouri protocol updates reach the app?
When the EMS authority publishes a new version and it goes live in Pocket Protocols, the app refreshes automatically — crews are never working from a stale copy. We monitor official sources for changes every day.
